POP+ART
We are a collaborative design office consisting of designer Valentyna Popova (POP) + architect Andreas Root (ART). We share a passion for creating – sustainable, uncomplicated and colorful designs.
We combine our experience in design and architecture into small series of bold handmade objects.
Sustainabilty
We believe sustainability nowadays is a more common and driving force for innovation within the design field. In our design approach we optimize our designs by minimizing our material-use and always reincorporating our “waste”material in a new design. By making use of sustainable or eco-friendly materials, such as Jesmonite which is made with sedimentary rock, we make sure to reduce our footprint.

Designing and fabricating a product is a craft. We believe in the process of designing, crafting and redesigning. Therefore all of our products are designed and produced by us. It is a way to understand our design process and to learn how we can further develop our designs and its manufacturing process. Whether it is 3D-printing, making moulds, casting or welding, we keep learning new things.
Our store!
While we are product designers we want our office to not only exist as a digital brand, but even more as a physical. We love working with people and love to talk about design face to face. So please stop by our store for a coffee and a talk! Together with two other creative brands we are located in the heart of Amsterdam at De Clerqstraat 78 with our physical store. Here we make our concepts, meet new friends and sell our products.
